For builders & assistants

Connect Speak Up to your tools

Speak Up publishes its own MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Connect it once and any MCP-capable assistant or workspace — including Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or your own scripts — can open a meeting room, follow the agenda, record decisions and actions, and search the published research. Nothing here bypasses the room's privacy: tools that read or write private meeting data require the participant or host token, and research analytics are always de-identified.

How to connect

MCP-compatible workspace

  1. Open the Connectors area in your workspace.
  2. Choose “New MCP server” and paste the server URL above.
  3. Speak Up's tools then appear in compatible chats.

Claude Desktop / Claude Code

  1. Add an MCP server entry with the URL above (type: url, or streamable HTTP).
  2. Restart Claude Desktop; the Speak Up tools appear under the tools menu.
  3. First use of a host tool asks you for a host token — create a room first.

Any other MCP client (Cursor, ChatGPT, custom)

  1. Add a Streamable HTTP MCP server pointing at the URL above.
  2. No headers or API key are needed; tools that touch private data ask for a token.
  3. Call tools/list to see everything the server offers.

Tokens and privacy

  • create_room returns the host token. Treat it like a key: whoever holds it can start the meeting, record decisions and end the room.
  • Participants keep their own token from the join link; it reads only their private preparation.
  • Moderator-style prompts are group-process only, and analytics never name a participant — rows are P1, P2, …

Speak Up / VOICE-IF is an independent research prototype grounded in published work on implementation intentions and group decision processes. It is designed to test whether AI-assisted recognition of critical situations helps people execute self-endorsed plans. No endorsement by any researcher or institution is claimed, and no effect of this system has been scientifically validated. Staying silent is never treated as a failure.
